The process of delivering marketing messages to prospective and present consumers via email in order to sell, educate, or cultivate loyalty is known as email marketing.

Email is an “owned” digital marketing channel, meaning the sender has complete control over the content and distribution, and it works best when sent to segmented lists of recipients. An email is a critical tool in eCommerce, where it’s utilized to deliver transactional, promotional, and lifecycle communications (all of which we’ll go over in more detail below).
